Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Drawstry! Drawstry is a product of Flowstry, an independent sole proprietorship based in Sri Lanka (not yet a registered legal entity). When we say "Drawstry," "we," "us," or "our," we are referring to Flowstry operating under the Drawstry brand. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Drawstry application and services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Applicability: These Terms apply fully when you register for an account and log in to the Service. If you use the standard version of Drawstry without logging in, your data is stored locally within your browser, and no personal data is sent to our servers.

1. Accounts

  1. Registration: You must register for an account to access certain features. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process.
  2. Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials. You agree not to disclose your password to any third party. You are responsible for any activity using your account.

2. User Content & License

  1. Ownership: You retain all rights and ownership of the diagrams, workspaces, and other content you create ("User Content").
  2. License: You grant Drawstry a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, and create derivative works (such as thumbnails) of your User Content solely for the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving the Service. This license does not transfer ownership of your User Content and does not grant Drawstry rights beyond operating the Service.

3. Early Access & Data Backup

Drawstry is currently in an Early Access (Beta) phase. During this period, we do not have strict or guaranteed data backup processes in place.

  • You acknowledge that the Service may experience frequent downtime or interruptions.
  • There is a possibility of data loss.
  • You are solely responsible for maintaining local copies of your critical diagrams and data.

We are working to improve stability, but strictly during this Early Access phase, the Service is provided for testing and feedback purposes.

4. Service Infrastructure

These Terms apply specifically to the hosted Service provided at https://drawstry.com. We use several third-party integrations to provide the service: Google Authentication, MongoDB (database service), Google Cloud Platform (hosting infrastructure), and Paddle (payment processing and subscription management).

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any laws or regulations.
  • Infringe on the rights of others (privacy, publicity, intellectual property).
  • Distribute malware or other harmful code.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

6. Plans, Subscriptions & Billing

  1. Free Plan: Drawstry offers a free tier that allows 1 workspace and up to 3 diagrams per workspace, along with other limited features as described on the pricing page.
  2. Pro Plan: A paid Pro subscription is available for users who require additional capacity, including unlimited workspaces and diagrams, more collaborators, AI actions, and premium features. Pricing and plan details are described on the pricing page.
  3. Billing: All payments are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. By subscribing, you agree to Paddle's terms of service. Your subscription renews automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  4. Cancellation & Downgrade: You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will retain Pro access until the end of the current billing period. After Pro access ends, your account reverts to the Free plan limits. Any workspaces and diagrams exceeding those limits will be permanently deleted one week after your Pro access ends, with no possibility of recovery. Please export any important work before your subscription ends.
  5. Refunds: Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

7. Termination & Service Changes

  1. Termination: We may suspend or restrict access to the Service if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service.
  2. Service Changes: We reserve the right to modify features, pricing, or usage limits of the Service. We will provide reasonable notice before any material changes take effect.

8. Limitation of Liability & No Warranty

  1. Disclaimer: Drawstry is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the reliability, availability, security, or suitability of the Service for any purpose.
  2. Limitation: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Drawstry or Flowstry be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising out of or relating to the use of, or inability to use, this Service.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka, without regard to conflict of law principles.
